Swadee Ka!
My name is Elizabeth, though many people call me Liz. I am currently a missionary serving in South Thailand with SHE Ministries to help women in children in need.
Our current focus is preventing and getting women out of prostitution. Thailand has the highest percentage of Human Trafficking (slavery) in the World.
I am 25 years old. I love popcorn, sour candy and chocolate. I do not like the ocean (ironic that I serve on an island). I love going to the market on the weekends here and trying out new Thai foods and bartering for everything.
I went on the World Race in 2010. I got sick a little over half way through and was sent home to recover. After 6 long months, I finally found my way back out to Thailand.
I currently oversea the Training Program at SHE. When the women are interested of coming out of a life of slavery, they come to me. I teach English, Hotel and Food Services Training, How to write a resume, Job interview skills and more. Through these programs, I am able to get to know these women well and trust is established. With this trust, they begin to open up more and more to me and I can begin to speak truth into their lives.
I truly love my ‘job’. My focus is to invest and pour into these women while giving them practical training to allow them to have a better lifestyle for them and their family.
Hey Liz, I randomly stumbled across your blog while searching for Christian Mission blogs on wordpress. What a wonderful ministry you have here. I experienced the red light districts of both Cambodia and Thailand in January of this year when I was on a short term trip with my college. We were studying human trafficking & child exploitation. I have to say after experiencing Bangkok, I was pretty traumatized. God Bless you for reaching out to this women each day, befriending them and ultimately creating and building bonds to where you can speak the truth of Christ into their lives. That life is not for the faith of heart. May Christ continue to empower you and provide for your needs.

Hey Liz! Thanks for following my blog
I thought I’d introduce myself. I just got back from the World Race in June and have been praying into doing MTS with SHE in January. I still go back and forth with deciding, but your blogs always make me want to go! I’d love to hear more from you about your experience with SHE and what you think of MTS. I would’ve sent you an e-mail, but I couldn’t find it on your blog so please feel free to e-mail me at sarah.ruplinger@gmail.com. Thanks!
